Dirk majored in process engineering at the University of Stuttgart. In the first five years of his career, he worked throughout Europe as a management consultant for development and production processes in various industries. In 2010, he founded Deutsche Automotive, a development service provider for engine development. Two years later, he founded an affiliate to provide IT services in the automotive sector.

Due to the increasing electrification of the automobile, Dirk decided in 2014 to shift the focus of his two companies on the development of car HMIs. Since 2016 his second company, today’s Screens GmbH, has been focussing 100% on automotive HMI benchmarking.

Dirk is married, has three children and lives with his family near Stuttgart.

Working together with clients, we believe that there is no better way to meet customers’ needs than to work on the same side of the desk. This means we literally involve the client in almost everything we do to give the customer the opportunity to truly participate in the work progress and shape our products and services. Why is that important? We do not believe in the old-fashioned model of typical customer-supplier relationships but rather see ourselves as direct colleagues. This enables us to work much more closely with our clients than business partners usually do.

It’s trivial things that change collaboration so much, and ultimately, it’s not about doing extraordinary things, but doing ordinary things extraordinarily well. We always explain the reason why we do or change things, address problems as soon as they occur, give feedback as quickly as possible while encouraging our clients to join us in this style of working together. All to ensure that the client’s agenda is our agenda and to be a trustworthy and reliable partner.
